I am so excited about this particular blog! While I won’t go so far as to say that it is “life changing”, “power packed”, or “a word you don’t want to miss”, I will say that the Holy Bible is ALIVE. As we walk through the days, weeks, months, and years of our lives it continues to speak to us until HE ultimately speaks through us.
In Genesis 6:17-18, God told Noah that He would cover the earth with a flood…that was the bad news. The good news? God had found Noah to be a righteous man and gave him a covenant promise that his family would be spared. Many people know of the story of Noah and the flood. For those of us who have grown up in church this story was on heavy rotation along with “David & Goliath”, “The 3 Hebrew Boys (why didn’t they teach us their REAL names?)” and “Daniel and the Lions Den.”
The covenant that God made with Noah was amazing, but so was the revelation that came with it! In this particular situation God’s covenant brought a revelation of protection. Look at Genesis 6:14-16 (no, for real, YOU look at it, I’m not providing scriptures today, OPEN YOUR BIBLE). :O)
Do you see that? The dimensions of the ark came to Noah through revelation. The obedience of Noah and his family to build that ark became their protection. God’s word was the covenant that brought it all.
I want to encourage you that no matter what type of flood may arise (financially, relationally, spiritually, physically) remember that God has given His word to bless you! Don’t just hold on to the promise, get the revelation! God’s promise of protection requires your assistance. God did not make Noah’s Ark, He simply provided the blueprint. Don’t worry about your pace. You don’t have to rush what He has given you to build. Not a single drop will fall until you are done.
